Warranty duration
The warranty start date shall be the date of purchase (invoice date) when the final Purchaser buys the Wingtra Hardware (“WingtraOne or WingtraRAY”) from either Wingtra or a Wingtra Dealer. Wingtra warrants to the final Purchaser that the Wingtra Hardware (“WingtraOne or WingtraRAY”) will be free from defects in material and workmanship and fit for its permitted use (in accordance with the EULA) for a period of 12 months from the warranty start date.
Recording the first flight and flight hours
In accordance with our privacy policy, Wingtra will collect data such as the dates and duration of your flights in order to assess if the warranty is still valid.
Warranty Extension
-
- Warranty extension can only be purchased once per equipment.
- Warranty extensions can be purchased only while the equipment is still under warranty.
- Wingtra reserves the right to refuse an extended warranty for any reason.
- The warranty extension covers the drone and all originally purchased parts, including the ground station, PilotBox, camera payloads, and PPK module.
Warranty scope
During this warranty period, Wingtra’s only liability is, at its full discretion, to either (i) repair or replace the defective product with another product or a product with similar specifications, or (ii) to reimburse the purchase price of the product.
Specific Warranty Conditions
Wingtra drone bundles: The warranty on drone bundles and their extensions covers the drone and any other part that is purchased together, including the ground station, PilotBox, camera payloads, PPK module, and batteries.
Spare drone warranty policy:
- The warranty for a spare drone begins on the purchase date and lasts 12 (twelve) months.
- Activation and Warranty Inheritance:
- When a spare drone is activated, it becomes the primary drone.
- Upon activation, the new primary drone inherits the warranty of the original primary drone.
- If the remaining warranty period of the spare drone (now the primary drone) is longer than that of the original primary drone, the new primary drone will be covered by the longer warranty period.
- Replacement conditions of the spare drone
- Wingtra will analyze any issues with the drone
- If the warranty replacement conditions are met, the original spare drone will be replaced
Replacement drones: Replacement drones provided under warranty inherit the warranty status of the original primary drone they replace. If a replacement drone is purchased after the warranty period of the primary drone has expired, the purchased replacement drone comes with a 1 (one) year warranty starting from the purchase date. Add-ons such as cameras or a pilot box are not covered under the warranty of a purchased replacement drone unless they are bought together with the replacement drone.
Camera and PPK payload purchased as add-on products: These items, when purchased separately, come with a 12-month warranty. An initial 12-month can be extended with a Second Year Warranty, TMP+ or WingtraCare.
Consumables: Batteries, propellers, middlestands and sidestands, are parts that naturally age and have to be periodically replaced depending on usage. Wingtra’s warranty covers manufacturing defects and flaws, but does not cover the normal wear and tear of said parts. The exception is the Total Maintenance Plan with unlimited continuous warranty where the consumables are covered under the warranty.
In case of doubt, it is at the sole discretion of Wingtra to decide which parts are covered under any active warranty.
Shipment, import and labor cost in cases of warranty
Direct purchases from Wingtra: Wingtra’s warranty covers the necessary replacement parts or new equipment if parts cannot be replaced and the related shipment cost. The warranty does not cover import costs, local taxes, value-added taxes (VAT), or labor required to install the replacement parts. If you are unable or unwilling to install replacement parts yourself, you may contact Wingtra to arrange for installation. This service is available as a paid option.
Purchases from a Wingtra Dealer: Wingtra’s warranty covers the necessary replacement parts or new equipment if the parts cannot be replaced by the dealer, as well as the shipment cost to the dealer where you purchased the equipment. You either will have to pick up the equipment at your dealer’s location or arrange delivery from the dealer to you, which may or may not be covered by the dealer’s own warranty and replacement policies. The warranty does not cover any import cost, local taxes, value-added taxes (VAT), or the labor required to install the replacement parts. If you are unable or unwilling to install the replacement parts yourself, you may contact your local dealer to install the parts on your behalf as a paid service.
User’s obligations to fulfill the warranty
Loss of warranty
Failure to follow the user manual, legal requirements, or instructions of Wingtra, will result in the loss of warranty. Using any damaged equipment and/or modified equipment also voids the warranty.
As a matter of example, the instructions following below have to be adhered to in order to not void warranty:

Improper Use of Equipment
The warranty is voided in any cases, where the equipment gets damaged due to manual takeover during landing, improper use or failure to follow the user manual including maintenance and assembly errors such as placing the middle stand on wrong, not plugging in batteries all the way, loose propellers, backward propellers, charging batteries incorrectly, or not attaching the payload securely, dropping, puncturing or otherwise damaging equipment including handling and transport damages.

* corresponds to approx 10 m/s (22 mph) surface wind
** With high altitude propellers up to 4800 m (15’700 ft) AMSL *** . Learn more about high altitude flying at knowledge.wingtra.com/high-altitude. For limitations when flying with LIDAR please refer to the technical specifications).
*** AMSL: Above mean sea level

Warranty is voided if the user fails to take influence of wind into account such as drifting due to wind after take-off as well as necessary distance to turbulence of at least 15m.
Avoid Obstacles in your flight plan
Failure to plan flights with sufficient distance to obstacles will result in the loss of warranty. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure that no objects (antennas, buildings, trees) or terrain (hills) are within the flight plan when flying Wingtra’s products. The needed distance to obstacles depend on environmental conditions:
In case you use Wingtra’s terrain following feature, plan your flights at least with a margin of 30m above ground in order to account for imprecise terrain data. Failure to do so will result in loss of warranty.
Use of damaged Equipment
Do not fly or use Wingtra products which are damaged as such use is not covered under warranty. Confirm that equipment is fit for use with Wingtra support in doubt if your equipment is damaged, has been dropped or is otherwise suspected to not properly work.

Storage of Batteries
Batteries should be stored in a secure, cool, ventilated environment. Do not store the batteries in areas receiving direct sunlight. The temperature of the area should not be higher than 25 °C (77°F). User’s failure to comply with these rules and the ensuing failure of the batteries or the equipment as a whole will result in the loss of the warranty.
