Wingtra, the Swiss drone company that develops the first commercially successful vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drone, has signed a reseller agreement with Kamibec, an established distributor of surveying equipment in Ivory Coast.
“The team at Kamibec SARL have demonstrated a deep understanding of the new technologies available in the surveying market, which is why they have decided to represent Wingtra in an emerging market like Ivory Coast. I have confidence in them representing Wingtra, especially after meeting with them on our recent trip to the first-ever African Drone Expo in Abidjan,” said Wingtra Sales Manager, Terence Thiel.
Speaking on the partnership Kamibec Director, Seyyed Mehdi said: “WingtraOne is an excellent addition to our already broad portfolio of equipment. I’m impressed not only with the WingtraOne’s capabilities but also with its durability and robust design. Reliability is at the forefront of our customer’s expectations. We’ve found that WingtraOne performs exceptionally well in the harsh environments our customers fly in.”
WingtraOne takes off and lands like a multicopter, but flies like a fixed-wing aircraft. This technology eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft, while landing lets the drone carry heavier and thus better sensors (e.g. 42MP Sony RX1RII) and still allows mapping of large areas.
The post-processed kinematics (PPK) upgrade allows the WingtraOne to reach new levels of accuracy. With this state-of-the-art PPK system and the highest quality sensors, WingtraOne reaches accuracy down to 1 cm (0.4 in) without any ground control points.
KAMI is an exclusive agent for Wingtra in Ivory Coast. They offer efficient maintenance services and tech support for all products in their portfolio. The KAMI team is made up of expert technicians who specialize in conducting highly-accurate topography projects in a short time.
