Wingtra, the Swiss drone company that develops the first commercially successful (vertical take-off and landing) VTOL drone for mapping, has signed a reseller agreement with GeoTECH, an established distributor of surveying equipment in Albania and Kosovo.
“We are happy to welcome GeoTech to our growing number of distribution partners worldwide,” said sales manager, Antonio Zivolic. “As an experienced provider of surveying equipment, we are confident that GeoTech will be able to provide the right Wingtra solutions to match the needs of survey and mapping professionals in Albania and Kosovo, and we foresee a successful long-term partnership.”
WingtraOne takes-off and lands as a multicopter, but flies in the air as a fixed-wing UAV. This technology eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry heavier and better sensors—e.g. 42MP Sony RX1RII—and allows mapping of large areas. The post process kinematic (PPK) upgrade allows the WingtraOne, with its Sony RX1R II payload, to reach accuracy down to 1 cm (0.4 in) without any ground control points.
“This summer we’ll be celebrating our first decade with great news: a new partnership with Wingtra. GeoTech is delighted to have been named a Wingtra dealer. We look forward to making use of our experience, knowledge, and capital to ensure smooth and rapid success in the market,” said Ylber Shabani, Managing Director of GeoTech. “VTOL, technology will finally render GeoTech unbeatable in its mission to set a new standard in the market.”
