Wingtra partners with a Colombian dealer Geosystem Ingeniería to broaden its distribution network in South America

Wingtra, manufacturing WingtraOne VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drones, has signed a partnership agreement with Geosystem Ingeniería, a certified Topcon, Leica and Trimble equipment dealer. Geosystem Ingeniería will be supplying Wingtra drones to surveying and mapping professionals based in Colombia, Panama and Guatemala.

“We believe that Geosystem Ingeniería will be of a tremendous help for Wingtra to supply our products in Colombia. Their broad expertise in high precision surveying tools like Topcon or Leica systems is a highly encouraging factor to our team!”, stated Percy Paredes, Sales Manager at Wingtra.

WingtraOne drone takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing aircraft. This technology (VTOL) eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, allows the drone to carry heavier and thus better sensors (e.g. 42 MP Sony RX1RII) and still allows mapping of large areas. With the latest upgrade, WingtraOne PPK drone offers a combination of broad coverage, ultra-high resolution and accuracy down to 1 cm.

“We see WingtraOne as a great boost to our portfolio. A reliable VTOL drone is something that our customers in Colombia will greatly appreciate, especially those who require high precision results”, Stated Edgar Mendoza, Manager Projects at Geosystem Ingeniería.

Wingtra and Pix4Dmatic integration brings 2x faster orthomosaic and point cloud generation

Wingtra’s recent WingtraHub 1.0 release has launched to fully support a lean workflow between the WingtraOne drone and Pix4Dmatic, a fresh Pix4D product for reliable speedy processing of large datasets. This integration is especially key since Wingtra’s VTOL drone is designed to map large sites fast and safely while providing the best possible data quality. The high-quality datasets that result can now be processed into point clouds and orthomosaics at twice the speed on average with Pix4Dmatic.
