Wingtra, the Swiss drone company manufacturing the first high-precision VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) drone, has signed a partnership agreement with TTQ De Monterrey, a specialist equipment dealer with a strong focus on surveying UAVs. TTQ De Monterrey will now be selling Wingtra drones via its network in Mexico.
“WingtraOne and especially the newly launched high-precision PPK drone is a great fit to our high-demand portfolio covering mining, agriculture, construction and surveying equipment. The combination of VTOL and PPK technologies make WingtraOne finally fill the gap between multirotor and fixed wing drones” – commented Mario Castro, CEO at TTQ De Monterrey.
WingtraOne drone takes-off and lands as a multicopter but flies in the air as a fixed wing aircraft. This technology (VTOL) eliminates the risk of damaging the aircraft while landing, lets the drone carry heavier and thus better sensors (e.g. 42 MP Sony RX1RII) and still allows mapping of large areas. With the latest upgrade, WingtraOne PPK drone offers a combination of broad coverage, ultra-high resolution and accuracy down to 1 cm.
“We are excited to have partnered with TTQ to introduce the WingtraOne to surveyors in Mexico. Wingtra customers will have a tool at their disposal that delivers outstanding results even in the most challenging environments”, stated Justus Bamert, head of Sales of the Americas at Wingtra.
